Friderike, tired of being pregnant, tries to attract the attention of Petrik by throwing herself against the wall. Ringo can’t stand it any longer to depend on his wife ever since the road accident tied him up to his chair. The old Multscher, driving the car, tries by any means to undo the damages he has created. Also, a mysterious being hangs around these embracing, insulting and heavily fighting characters. In contrast with the daily chaos of this accumulation of extreme situations, the figures invented by Marius Von Mayenburg, playwright at the Schaubühne in Berlin, debate. However, with the trying summer heat, they rather keep up the dogged fight than accept their life as it is: dying to exist, « today you have to beat someone within an inch of his life to actually get the chance to meet him » (Multscher, in Parasites).

Ever since he discovered the text, Vincent Hennebicq, director and actor (Dieu est un DJ, Baal) dreamt of staging this ruthless humoristic drama since it’s funny and at the same time it clearly shows the urban solitude and the fear of human solidarity. Fantastically alive, strong, joyful and cathartic.
