During the Seventies, Sébastien Cuvelier’s uncle went to discover Iran, keeping a journal of his trip. Inspired by this manuscript, the artist went a number of times to Iran to create his own image of the country. With this project combining archives and his personal vision, he creates a dialogue between Iran before the fall of the Shah and today, as he searches for an elusive and dreamlike version of paradise.
