The music that characterizes MetX takes in elements of Western improvisation culture and traditional music from different cultures present in a metropolis such as Brussels.
In collaboration with other cultural houses, MetX organizes jam sessions, the MetX Jam Supreme, driven by MetX musicians, including among others the trumpeter Laurent Blondiau (Mâäk Quintet, MikMâäk, Bakanaï), and guest artists.
As part of the Saison Libre, the Théâtre National challenges MetX Jam Supreme musicians to draw inspiration from its programming to imagine original jams that will punctuate the season.
→ After the performances, the MetX Jam Supreme jam sessions can be enjoyed in the foyer.
