Archives
of the Théâtre National
The Théâtre National archives offer a unique opportunity to explore the theatre’s history. Deposited at the Archives and Museum of Literature (AML), the collection of archival documents and materials from the Théâtre National Documentation Centre, built up since 1945, has now been fully classified and catalogued. It is freely accessible to anyone, whether curious visitors or researchers.
Manuscripts, correspondence, visual materials, production files, promotional documents, set design projects and technical records provide insight into both the political, artistic and cultural management of the theatre and the approximately 1,500 productions presented since its creation.
SCAPIN
An online collaborative database dedicated to preserving the digital memory of the performing arts in the French Community of Belgium, SCAPIN provides public access to the historical programming of the Théâtre National.
Fonds Théâtre National
The complete inventory of this collection — known as the “Mammoth Collection” — is now finished and can be consulted by everyone directly at the Archives and Museum of Literature.
