A succession of stories as intimate as they are surreal, the Chroniques Martiennes (“Martian Chronicles”) unfold over time like the conquest of a promised land. Some start a life there, others flee theirs. Sofia Betz and Compagnie Dérivation wildly adapt and appropriate Ray Bradbury's novel, with an offbeat aesthetic and dark humour questioning the place of absurdity in human nature.
