Classes opéra Joël Franka

For six months, 258 students from different social backgrounds in Brussels are immersed in the world of opera.

Composer Howard Moody and director Thierry Thieû Niang accompany them from the school benches to the stage of the Théâtre Royal de La Monnaie. The students, coming from schools in Brussels, Uccle, Ixelles and Ganshoren, learn to tame the stage and prepare their participation in the creation of the opera Sindbad. Aged 10 and 13 years old, they are totally new to the world and to a new cultural discipline. The opportunity to express themselves about peace, war, adventure, mutual aid and living together.
