On the Island of Sadness off the Danish coast, the small band of shipwreck survivors discover the hanging body of one of their number, the mother of the popular extreme right party leader.
Making optimum use of video, Anne-Cécile Vandalem has reconstructed the village square and its houses on stage for a political thriller which is not as sad as its title might suggest.
