Urban Dance Caravan

Detours Festival

Battle – Choreographic tours

The Urban Dance Caravan is a collective adventure, weaving bonds and bringing cultures into dialogue. Very different from traditional forms, the event transforms the public space into a playground for the participants.

Co-imagined in partnership with the Brussels Detours festival, which organises battles throughout the year, the Caravan offers an exceptional encounter. It brings together a wonderful mix of finalists from national heats - the Detours Cyphers - and dancers from four continents. This year, the spotlight falls on Brazil. Performers from Costa Rica are also invited. For Africa, teams from Morocco, from the Congo RDC, and Congo (Brazzaville) have made the trip.

The day culminates with the final great battle on the stage of the Théâtre National, a moment when the energy of the teams merges with the theatre stage to celebrate the diversity of urban dance: break, house, afro, krump and many more. A final held under the flag of unity, peace and fun!
