L’oubli pour mensonge

In June 2015, the completion of the National Plan for the Legalization of Foreigners in the Dominican Republic and the anti-Haitian atmosphere surrounding it encouraged some people to speak out. The allusions to a final solution such as the genocide of 1937 shocked many. To ward off this present morbid possibility and to remind people of the past, this short film is a series of testimonials to lives broken, close to one hundred years ago. Children at the time, marked by death, today at the end of their lives, they are passing away one by one in the silence of the executioners.
