Théâtre National Wallonie-Bruxelles

Shared space, multiple scenes

Welcoming other cultural houses on our stages is an obvious thing for us to do, a desire. For the Théâtre National Wallonie-Bruxelles, this is a way of giving concrete expression to our desire to contribute to redefining the cultural landscape of Brussels. From a fixed horizon, we’re creating a territory in perpetual redefinition.

With its auditorium soon to be closed for renovation, the Kaaitheater is preparing to roam. Rather than being nowhere, this is an opportunity to be everywhere. And to serve as a model for this new geography of places of culture. This project is the perfect opportunity to initiate this movement towards a diversity of audiences and places of reception and creation.

This is reflected this season in the co-production and presentation on the Main Stage of the Théâtre National of Liebestod of Angelica Liddell, Les Enfants terribles by Phia Ménard and the Création 2023 by Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker / Rosas (with La Monnaie).

Open the doors and create a common project. Not single, but rather multiple. To remind you that Brussels is a shared place of culture with multiple scenes.
