Theatre – Dance

Ngân is Vietnamese. Quentin was born in Libramont, in the Ardennes region of Belgium. At the outset, there was nothing that could have brought them together.

Yet Ngân and Quentin have become brother and sister. Two faces, strangers to one another, who nonetheless appear in the same photo of a family group, assembled after an intercontinental marriage. But one morning, Ngân suddenly disappeared. In order to try to understand this departure, and to find her again, her brother decides to follow her tracks. In theatre, dance and karaoke, Belgian and Vietnamese performers share the stage, in the hope of untangling a knot, which is both personal and political.

What challenges and biases are hidden behind our transnational privacies? What do these private stories tell of our cultural differences, our relationships of power and domination? From one end of the world to the other, between the real and the virtual, what do they express of our dreams, our desires, our shame and, why not, of our love?
