In Galactic Crush, the first episode of their saga, the Lebanese choreographer Stéphanie Kayal based between Brussels and Beirut, was already working with the musician Abed Kobeissy. Together they dreamed up an avenger and a follower, who are awkwardly trying to eradicate crime in a town rotten with corruption, an ironic reflection of a certain contemporary reality in Beirut.

With Galactic Crush 2 : Into the Cold, the dancer and the musician resume their unlikely pairing. As the desperately heroic mission turns into a fiasco, and the world is collapsing around them, they decide to flee: here they are, botching together a makeshift vessel to try to reach an unknown galaxy.

But in the midst of a genocidal present and an uncertain future, what does it mean to flee when others are being annihilated to stay?

With its unique choreographic style, composed of slow, broken movements, Stéphanie Kayal transforms adversity into creative drive. Between humour and disillusion, the duo perform an absurd fantasy and confront their protagonists with a harsh gaze carried along by live music.
