In the midst of heated debates on freedom of expression, Free Space explores the issue of “cancel culture” in the art world. Under pressure from certain activist movements, artists’ skin color, gender, or background are becoming new criteria of legitimacy in creation. Director Karin Junger asks artists and thinkers about these new fault lines: who can create what, who decides, and in the name of which values?
The screening will be followed by a discussion.
